This is not my first blog. I am a fan of blogging myself and reading other peoples blogs. Every so often I go on Blog directories and search for 'German in America' ; I have yet to find a blog under that category which fits what I am looking for. This will change now! My blog will be there!
I hope to communicate with other foreigners who live in the Sates or other countries; their experiences and joys etc. Please check back often and if you are a foreigner in the country were you reside please send me stories with your experiences and I will publish them in this blog!

- I moved to the States in 1989. I moved from Bonn (back then the capitol of Germany) to Marquette Michigan. Since then I have lived on Anna Maria Island, Grand Cayman (Caribbean) and the Florida Keys. I have been in the Keys for 12 years now. In 4 years I will have lived longer in the States than in Germany. It does not feel like it! I have not been back in Germany for 16 years but I still have friends with whom I am in closer contact than my friends here. It is 'different' to live in a different country than you were born and I would like to share my experiences, difficulties, joys with others in this blog and I'd like to hear yours. I will publish your stories with your permission of course. Recipe, Book recommendations, tips etc. - Bring it on! I German or in English! Whatever floats your boat!
